Fox Searchlight assigns new title for "Homework"

Fox Searchlight has changed the title of the Emma Roberts-starrer, "Homework," to "The Art of Getting By," the studio announced Tuesday.

Pic, which co-stars Freddie Highmore, was one of four Searchlight acquisitions this past January at the Sundance Film Festival.

Written and directed by Gavin Wiesen, “The Art of Getting By” tells the story of a lonely, fatalistic teen (Highmore) who is befriended by a beautiful girl (Roberts).

P. Jennifer Dana, Darren Goldberg, Gia Walsh, and Kara Baker produced.

"The Art of Getting By" will open June 17th (limited) before expanding nationwide in July.
