First Trailer: 'The Rum Diary' Starring Johnny Depp (Video)
FilmDistrict has released the first official trailer for "The Rum Diary," starring Johnny Depp.
Delayed for two years, the GK Films-produced "Rum Diary" tells the story of an itinerant journalist who travels to Puerto Rico and adopts the rum-soaked lifestyle. Hunter S. Thompson, a hero of Depp's, is credited as inspiration for the tale.
Co-starring Richard Jenkins, Aaron Eckhart and Amber Heard, "The Rum Diary" hits theaters Oct. 28.

Alexander Skarsgard goes 'East' with Brit Marling
“True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard is in talks to star in “The East,” a new eco-thriller from “Sound of My Voice” duo Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij.
Marling, who starred in, wrote and produced “Sound of My Voice,” will also co-star in “The East,” which is based on her original script. Batmanglij, who helmed “Voice,” will direct.
Pic centers on a terrorist group that targets unethical corporations. Skarsgard would play the leader of the eco-terrorist gang, while Marling is set to play an FBI agent trying to infiltrate the group.
Michael Costigan of Scott Free Prods. is producing.
Skarsgard, who broke onto the scene playing the seductive vampire Eric Northman in HBO’s “True Blood,” has made a bigscreen splash as of late. The 34 year-old Swedish thesp is starring in Universal’s “Battleship,” a remake of “Straw Dogs” and Lars Von Trier’s “Melancholia.” Skarsgard is also attached to an untitled Viking project at Warner Bros.
He is repped by CAA and Principal Entertainment.
TRAILER: Radcliffe stars in ‘The Woman in Black’
Daniel Radcliffe just can’t seem to get away from evil.
The “Harry Potter” actor stars in CBS Films’ upcoming ghost story, “The Woman in Black,” whose teaser trailer hit the Web this morning.
Based on the 1983 novel by Susan Hill, “The Woman in Black” revolves around a young lawyer (Radcliffe) who uncovers the terrible secrets of a house and village in 19th century England.
James Watkins (“Eden Lake”) directed the film, adapted for the screen by “Kick-Ass” scribe Jane Goldman.
“The Woman In Black” opens domestically Feb. 3, 2012.

First Look: Leonard DiCaprio as 'Hoover'
Warner Bros. has released the first official images from Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Written by Dustin Lance Black ("Milk"), pic tells the curious life story of the FBI’s first director, played by DiCaprio, and also stars thesps Naomi Watts, Armie Hammer and Dame Judi Dench.
"J. Edgar" opens wide Nov. 9, 2011.
Timberlake, Seyfried star in 'In Time' Teaser
"Gattaca" director Andrew Niccol returns with the futuristic thriller, "In Time," starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy.
Pic tells the story of a society where no one ages beyond 25, except for those rich enough to buy time.
20th Century Fox will release the pic on October 28, 2011.
