NEW 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' Trailer

Sony has released a four-minute trailer for David Fincher's remake of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," which opens December 21.

Based on the tome by Stieg Larsson, "Girl" stars Daniel Craig as a disgraced journalist who is aided by a misfit computer hacker (Rooney Mara) to solve a 40 year-old crime. Robin Wright and Christopher Plummer co-star.

Steve Martin’s Oscar hosting advice for Eddie Murphy

Martin_new Former Oscar host Steve Martin took to his website Tuesday to offer some friendly (and hilarious) advice for new Oscar host Eddie Murphy. The tips include “If you feel tired midway through, give Neil Patrick Harris a Red Bull and throw some sheet music at him.”

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for family-buddy comedy "The Big Year." Starring Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson, pic tells the story of three men who try to outdo each other during a year-long competition to spot the rarest birds in North America. Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") and Rashida Jones also star. Produced by Red Hour Films' Karen Rosenfelt, Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld, "The Big Year" opens wide on October 14.

'The Descendants' at Telluride

Lonergan's 'Margaret' finally gets a trailer

This past summer, Fox Searchlight announced plans to finally release Kenneth Lonergan’s long-delayed “Margaret” on Sept. 30, nearly SIX YEARS after wrapping principal photography.

Starring Anna Paquin and Matt Damon, “Margaret” tells the story of a high-school student (Paquin) who witnesses a fatal automobile accident. Mark Ruffalo, who starred in Lonergan's acclaimed "You Can Count On Me" rounds out the cast.

Scott Rudin produced the film along with Gary Gilbert and the late Sydney Pollack.

Searchlight plans a limited release in the U.S. for "Margaret," before releasing two other year-end pics: Sundance pick-up "Martha Marcy May Marlene" (Oct. 21), and Alexander Payne's George Clooney family drama "The Descendents" (Nov. 23).
