This past summer, Fox Searchlight announced plans to finally release Kenneth Lonergan’s long-delayed “Margaret” on Sept. 30, nearly SIX YEARS after wrapping principal photography.

Starring Anna Paquin and Matt Damon, “Margaret” tells the story of a high-school student (Paquin) who witnesses a fatal automobile accident. Mark Ruffalo, who starred in Lonergan's acclaimed "You Can Count On Me" rounds out the cast.

Scott Rudin produced the film along with Gary Gilbert and the late Sydney Pollack.

Searchlight plans a limited release in the U.S. for "Margaret," before releasing two other year-end pics: Sundance pick-up "Martha Marcy May Marlene" (Oct. 21), and Alexander Payne's George Clooney family drama "The Descendents" (Nov. 23).
