Universal has released the first trailer for "Larry Crowne," the Tom Hanks-directed pic starring Hanks and Julia Roberts.

Written by Hanks and Nia Vardalos, "Larry Crowne" tells the story of an employee-of-the-month who, after losing his job, seeks a higher education at a local community college. Bryan Cranston and Taraji Henson co-star.

"Larry Crowne" opens nationwide July 1.

Columbia has released the first teaser for raunchy comedy "Bad Teacher," starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.

Directed by Jake Kasdan, "Bad Teacher" tells the story of a gold-digging middle-school teacher (Diaz) who competes with a colleague for the affections of the school’s model teacher (Timberlake).

"The Office" scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky wrote the screenplay.

Produced by Jimmy Miller and Georgia Kacandes, "Bad Teacher" opens wide June 24.

'Green Lantern' trailer debuts online

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for superhero feature "Green Lantern," starring Ryan Reynolds.

Lanternagain Based on the DC franchise, story revolves around a test pilot (Reynolds) who is chosen to save the universe.

Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") directed the pic. Blake Lively and Peter Sarsgaard also star.

WB showed a serious commitment to the "Lantern" franchise, tapping Michael Goldenberg to write a sequel nearly a year out from the film's release.

The studio is currently prepping two other DC Comics pics: Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" and the Zack Snyder-helmed "Superman," which Nolan is also producing.

"Green Lantern," produced by Donald De Line, opens nationwide June 17, 2011.
